Who Are We?

The name Mohr is inspired by Mohr’s Circle, a cornerstone in mechanical stress analysis that graphically represents stress distributions across different orientations. This choice of name reflects our deep expertise in stress analysis and our unwavering commitment to exceeding client expectations with innovative and thorough engineering solutions. At Mohr Engineering, we are dedicated to providing exceptional quality in our services, striving not only to meet industry standards but to set new benchmarks for excellence, delivering unmatched value to our clients.

Meet Trevor

After earning my mechanical engineering degree, I began my career as an engineer in the aerospace industry in western Washington. I started out as a designer, but my interest in stress analysis quickly grew, leading me to seize an opportunity in that area. This shift was both rewarding and intellectually stimulating.

However, understanding the aerospace industry’s vulnerability to economic ups and downs, I decided to pursue licensure as a Professional Engineer to broaden my skills and increase my resilience across different industries.

After ten years as a dedicated Stress Engineer in aerospace, my family of five moved to Idaho, a place with fewer  opportunities in aerospace engineering. Despite this change, my passion for aerospace and aviation never wavered. Soon after relocating, I made the important decision to start my own consulting firm, offering specialized engineering services tailored to the aerospace sector. Through contract consulting, I have been able to apply my stress analysis expertise to a wide range of projects, from trains to aircraft, maintaining my connection to the field I love.
Around the same time I started my company, I reached a personal milestone by earning my private pilot’s license—a lifelong dream of mine. After more than 15 months of training, I achieved this goal and was excited to share the joy of flying with my family. However, the local flying clubs only had four-seater aircraft, which led me to an innovative solution: developing a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) to add an extra seat in the back, turning the plane into a five-seater. Given the Cessna 182's versatility and performance, I knew this was the right aircraft for the job. This modification allowed me to fulfill my vision of flying with my entire family, creating lasting memories and a shared love for aviation. For more information about the STC development, please check the dedicated section on our website.

Fly Together

Trevor Williams, along with his family—his favorite flying companions—has been the inspiration behind making this STC a reality.

Their shared passion for aviation fueled his determination to create an upgrade that allows more families to experience the joy of flying together.
